Comparing Ten Independent Dutch GEO Providers

TL;DR

A comparison of ten independent Dutch GEO providers shows differences in the AI systems they measure, measurement frequency, reporting and implementation. Published prices range from free initial scans to €1,747 per month. The comparison shows which providers combine monitoring, baselines, strategy, execution and advice.

If a potential B2B buyer asks ChatGPT or Perplexity to compare the top three providers in your market, is your brand among them? Ask three times and you get three slightly different answers. Ask another AI and the answer changes again. Sometimes your brand is included, sometimes it is not. AI search engines do not offer the more or less stable list of links we got used to in Google. Fortunately, there are several providers in the Netherlands who can help measure and improve your AI visibility. They all do it differently, though.

When I measured my own visibility in AI answers with my software, I found nine other providers in my field. In this study, I compared them with Hands on GEO: Aibevolen, AIkracht, Citeerbaar, Estrelle, GEO Specialist Sliedrecht, Hands on GEO, KickAI, Marije Weterings, Ralf van Veen and Willem Nales. These are all independent professionals who offer GEO as one of their main services. SEO specialists who offer GEO as an add-on, copywriters, trainers and agencies are not included.

Analysis: notable differences in the market

Why Microsoft Copilot is rarely measured: Few GEO providers in this group measure Microsoft Copilot. One likely explanation is that Copilot is not one fixed, unique system. The consumer version, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot in Edge or Office apps give very different answers. With Microsoft 365 Copilot, results also depend on the specific licence, user and internal access rights. Reliable measurement therefore takes considerably more effort. Still, this is an important blind spot for B2B organisations, since Copilot is by far the most widely used AI assistant in the B2B workplace.

Five providers offer a report, dashboard or client portal. Aibevolen shows weekly citation scores. Citeerbaar provides a monthly report. Marije Weterings reports weekly on the Growth plan and monthly on Starter. Ralf van Veen shows citation trends by LLM and market segment. Hands on GEO shows relative competitive positions by AI system and concrete action points.

Differences in how actionable content advice is: The level of detail in content recommendations varies enormously. Estrelle and AIkracht make the changes themselves. KickAI provides ready-to-use briefs and a prioritisation matrix for your own team. Citeerbaar identifies opportunities but leaves the work to the client. Aibevolen and Ralf van Veen primarily sell measurement as a product. Hands on GEO provides an overview of concrete content opportunities and technical tweaks for the webmaster.

Three types of service

  1. Measure and monitor: Recurring measurement with a report or dashboard. Suitable if you want to show management periodically whether brand citations are increasing. Standalone monitoring ranges from €30/month (Aibevolen) to €250/month (Estrelle). Monthly packages combining advice or implementation range from €299 (Marije Weterings) to €1,747 (KickAI).
  2. Baseline and strategy: A snapshot: how often does your brand appear, who are the competitors, and which technical or content actions are needed? Standalone scans range from free to €500. Six providers offer a free initial check: Aibevolen, AIkracht, Estrelle, GEO Specialist Sliedrecht, Marije Weterings and Hands on GEO.
  3. Implementation and advice: After measuring, content needs to be optimised and the entity structure improved. Six providers do this themselves (Aibevolen, AIkracht, Estrelle, Marije Weterings, Ralf van Veen and Willem Nales). Citeerbaar handles technical work only. KickAI relies exclusively on the client’s internal team. Hands on GEO coordinates the client’s internal specialists or arranges implementation by agreement.

Five essential questions to ask about every GEO proposal

Because definitions and measurement methods vary widely across the market, it is a good idea to ask these five questions with every request for a proposal:

  1. AI systems: Which specific AI models and search engines do you measure, and which do you exclude?
  2. Prompt set: Which questions do you ask? Are they generic lists or specific B2B buying questions from our buyer journey?
  3. Frequency and spread: How often do you repeat the same question, and across how many measurement moments, to filter stochastic variation in LLMs?
  4. Transparency and sources: Can I inspect the underlying generated answer and exact source URLs cited for each score?
  5. Share of Model: Which direct competitors do you include in the comparison, and how do you compile that list?

Conclusion and advice

Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) is developing rapidly. Since LLMs such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AIO largely operate as a “black box”, GEO is not a short-lived trick. It is about steadily building undeniable digital authority and a clear entity structure that AI models cannot ignore.

Rather than trying to compare every service on paper, B2B marketing managers would do better to contact a few of the specialists listed here. Share your specific challenge, ask the five questions above and request a demonstration of their report or dashboard. The sooner you build authority in AI search engines, the greater your lead over competitors.
